Ontario Medical Supply (OMS) is a leading provider of medical supplies and equipment, home healthcare products, mobility and seating devices, home oxygen, and home infusion therapy products and services. For over 60 years, OMS has provided comprehensive and cost-effective healthcare products and services to long term care (LTC) facilities, retirement homes, group homes, Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs), healthcare professionals, and retail clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete all Service calls assigned by Dispatch and notify the customer one hour before estimated arrival;
  • Diagnose customer equipment and determine proper solution;
  • Document all service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records as determined necessary by the Service Supervisor;
  • Address customer concerns and investigate problematic orders/returns to ensure appropriate resolution (and repossession if required);
  • Gather all component details for parts to be ordered from Manufacturer and provide subsequent quote to customer;
  • Provide 24/7 on-call Emergency Service as part of a rotational schedule;
  • Ensure that Inventory present in staff-assigned vehicle bin is secured at all times;
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in various Service Department educational and certification in-services;
  • Operate vehicle in a safe manner and follow all Service Department Health and Safety procedures and protocols;
  • Ensure Service vehicle and work areas are kept clean and organized;

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and in writing;
  • Bilingualism is essential;
  • Ability to work proficiently within a team environment as well as independently;
  • Ability to remain organized and to prioritize workloads;
  • Technical aptitude is required;
  • Experience in a customer service role is essential;
  • Health and safety training is an asset;
  • Industry experience considered an asset
  • Inventory Management training is an asset.
  • Field technical experience in a relevant industry is an asset
  • Demonstrate customer service excellence
  • Full driver’s license in the province of their practice and clean driver’s abstract
  • Vulnerable Sector check is required
